Challenge #1: In need of a tool that would allow employees from all over to track the status of different projects, whether it be client, new business or operations related. ![]() Recommendation: A tool that could be highly beneficial is the Intranet. The Intranet is a private network that is only accessible to an organization's staff. In the public relations industry, MWWPR employees can use this network to collaborate, share, and track the status of different projects for clients or normal business operations. For example, a type of intranet is OnlyOffice. OnlyOffice is a cloud-based software that has the following features:

Recommendation: Another tool that could be useful is Smartsheet. Smartsheet has the ability of sharing and organizing information in a timely/convenient manner due to the various features it provides. MWWPR employees can benefit from this program because they will be able to breakdown, solve, and present multiple projects in a way that their fellow coworkers and clients can easily understand it. Smartsheet's main functions are as followed:
BEST OPTION: The best option for MWWPR is the Intranet. The intranet focuses more on the company as a whole, whereas smartsheet focuses on individual teams within a company. Some of the main advantages of the intranet are that it improves internal communications, provides better use of resources, and enhances customer services. It also allows employees to collaborate and communicate effectively because of the access to reliable, accurate , and timely data. If MWWPR implemented this network into their daily business operations they will benefit tremendously.
Challenge#2: In need of ways of gaining a competitive advantage over their competitors.
Recommendation: One major way to gain a competitive advantage over their competitors is by enhancing their social media networks. According to wearesocial.net, "29% of the world's population has a social media account". As a public relation firm, MWWPR can use social media to reach many consumers by just a click of a button. For instance, when they issue a press release promoting a new product or service, MWWPR can use social media instead of traditional advertising and marketing techniques due to the fact that it reaches a broader audience. Also, they can pay social networks for advertising in which their brand and their client's brand will be posted all over the world. This will give them more attention, more followers, and eventually more clientele.
Recommendation: Another way of gaining a competitive advantage is by integrating their current CRM software to an EAI (enterprise application integration). The purpose of an EAI system is to get rid of information silos that can be caused by CRM systems. Now a company like MWWPR will be able to communicate and share data with departments that do no directly relate to the customers. Examples of these type of departments are accounting and human resource. Also, with the use of an EAI system their business process will run smoother and more importantly lower costs.
BEST OPTION: The better option to these two recommendations is to enhance their social media. In the world today, 29% of people have a social media account. This percentage will only increase and the social media industry will only get bigger and better. With MWWPR being a public relations firm, it is important for them to take advantage of this opportunity because of the audience they are able to reach. By using the right marketing and advertising techniques, MWWPR can effectively increase their clientele and marketability. |
