Conclusion

Through researching and analyzing MWWPR we were able to develop and utilize various information management systems that improved our time management, data processing and collaborative efforts significantly. The systems and applications which we found most beneficial were as follows:

Collaboration Information Systems

Our efforts in managing, communicating and completing tasks as it related to MWWPR were greatly aided through the use of various collaborative information systems. Our team made use of several applications and tools that streamlined and improved our efficiency. We made use of Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, SmartSheet, GroupMe, and e-mail. These applications and tools assisted in processing data in a timely and efficient manner. With the implementation of cloud-based applications, we decreased the frequency of meetings as a result of our communication efforts being streamlined and integrated across our different hardware and software systems along with conflicting schedules.

The use of these and other collaboration information systems have proven to be valuable tools for processing and managing data so that business operations run effectively and efficiently.

Social Media Information Systems

Through examining the structures, functions, goals and processes of social media information systems we were able to identify areas within MWWPR where their social media presence was lacking. Doing so enabled us to develop a comprehensive and practical understanding of how incorporating and implementing business strategies affects customer relations and business capital (value).

The use of social media information systems continues to be a primary channel for organizational (brand) and consumer relationship management. Organizations and business professionals should be aware that their social media presence should be developed with the goals, strategies and mission of the organization so that appropriate target audiences are being marketed to and that resources are responsibly managed.

Managing information systems may be one of, if not the most critical component for successful business operations and results. The capacities to process data efficiently while maintaining information systems security, along with understanding the concepts, functions and processes of the various information systems are likely to ensure sustainable growth and productivity within organizations and teams.
